My heart is heavy as we learn of another act of senseless gun violence, this time at Annunciation Church in south Minneapolis.

While details are still emerging, our thoughts are with all those impacted—victims, their families, first responders, and the entire faith community shaken by this horrifying event.

This comes on the heels of a devastating 24 hours in our city, with multiple shootings claiming lives and injuring too many of our neighbors.

Minneapolis is hurting, and today is another tragic reminder of the urgent need to come together as a community to address gun violence and keep our neighborhoods safe.

I am deeply grateful to the Minneapolis Police Department, emergency responders, and all who are working right now to secure the area and care for those affected. We will continue to monitor this situation and support our community through this heartbreaking time.
